Blue Man Group

Taking its name from the blue character created and embodied by the team itself, Blue Man Group has become a worldwide phenomenon through its stage performances and will be at Zorlu PSM with 24 shows between 13 February and 4 March in collaboration with BKM! Blue Man Group originated from a decision made by three friends—Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman—immediately after their university graduation to "follow your own path and live with purpose." The group is built around the bald and blue Blue Man character created by the trio. The response to their first performance in New York at that time foreshadowed the international success they would later achieve. Since 1991, Blue Man Group performances have been staged in over 20 countries and watched by more than 35 million people. The show, which combines music, comedy and technology, resonated with audiences from different cultures through new music, fresh storytelling and successful integration of advancing technology.

As a result, no two shows are alike, and while the group maintains permanent ensembles in New York, Las Vegas, Boston, Chicago, Orlando and Berlin, the world tour team continues to successfully reflect the group's values.

Blue Man Group has become one of the important figures of popular culture, having been featured on The Tonight Show, Arrested Development, Ellen, Schlag den Raab created by German host and comedian Stefan Raab, WOWOW broadcast in Japan and Caldeirão do Huck broadcast in Brazil. The Grammy-nominated group has proven its success beyond its globally phenomenon performances. Contributing their music to numerous films and television programmes, Blue Man Group has also garnered great acclaim with albums released under their own name, the latest being THREE. While touring the world with their parody tour Megastar World Tour, in which they mock rock music and rock stars, the group recently included intriguing details about the mysterious bald and blue character they created in the Blue Man World book. This book took its place on shelves as a seminal work reflecting the group's boundary-pushing imagination and extraordinary visual world. Blue Man Productions, which houses Blue Man Group, has every resource at its disposal to maintain and even increase productivity. Currently owned by the team and operating from New York, the company has separate production and work facilities, a recording studio and a 6,000 square metre R&D laboratory, remaining open at all times for the production of new projects and the promotion of creative work. With its unique show wherever it goes, Blue Man Group captivates audiences and will perform 24 shows at Zorlu PSM Main Theatre between 13 February and 4 March in collaboration with BKM.
