Berko Children's Theatre Opens Curtains on Its 5th Season
Berko İlaç founded Berko Children's Theatre based on the value it places on social responsibility and the arts, and the theatre met with orphaned children at the Küçükyalı Children's Home.
Berko İlaç, which produces projects contributing to society and the arts, has been bringing children and families together with theatre free of charge for five seasons through Berko Children's Theatre, established on the basis of this approach.
In its new season, Berko Children's Theatre first gathered with orphaned children at the Küçükyalı Children's Home, and then performed for village children who had never watched theatre before at Kirazlı Village Primary School in Sakarya.
Within the scope of "23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day" celebrations, Berko Children's Theatre will meet with children throughout the week. The play "Berfu's Dream" will be staged at Marmara University Pendik Education and Research Hospital, Beykoz Galip Öztürk Love Homes Children's Nursery and City Theatre Children's Festival.
Bringing All Segments of Society Together Through Arts
Berko Children's Theatre, which first met its audience in 2015, has performed its first play "Berfu's Dream" in schools, municipalities, cultural centres and various stages across all provinces in Turkey. Having performed on 72 different stages a total of 115 times and reaching more than fifteen thousand children so far, Berko Children's Theatre reaches out free of charge to children and their families and continues to do so. Within the scope of the "International Corporate Social Responsibility Awards" organised by Junior Chamber International in 2016, Berko Children's Theatre was deemed worthy of an award in the "culture and arts" category. "Berfu's Dream," directed by Deniz Yeşil Mavi, is a one-act performance featuring Aykut İspir, Çağla Buldak, Deniz Özbay, Tomris Karakartal Özbay and Mukaddes Kurmuş İspir in the roles.Continues Sending Books
