Avishai Cohen Quartet to Give Jazz Fans a Musical Treat

Known for the clear sound of his trumpet, Avishai Cohen is one of the most talked-about names on the contemporary jazz scene. Avishai Cohen's quest for meaning in music and his dedication to bringing bass timbres into focus has earned him numerous international awards and well-deserved recognition worldwide. In 2016, the master trumpeter was recognized by Jazz Magazine France with the Best Foreign Artist award, while his album released that same year, Into the Silence, was selected by TSF Jazz as Album of the Year. Today, alongside his work with his quartet, he continues his collaborations with Omer Avital and Nasheet Waits through the trio Triveni, which he has been working with for over a decade. A year after his award-winning album Into The Silence, the artist presents his new album Cross My Palm With Silver and is preparing to bring his admirable energy to the Akbank Jazz Festival stage.
