Allianz Türkiye Raises Compulsory Traffic Insurance Limits to TRY 100 Million

Allianz Turkey, one of the leading insurance companies in the Turkish insurance sector, has launched a new application with the goal of being by customers' side under all circumstances. With the new application, Allianz has nearly eliminated limits in Optional Financial Liability (OFL) coverage for high-value compensation claims exceeding mandatory traffic insurance, providing customers with near-unlimited additional protection against unexpected expenses and offering top-level financial protection.

Allianz Turkey has launched a new application to provide stronger protection to its customers in the event of a traffic accident. By stretching and nearly eliminating the limits of Optional Financial Liability (OFL) coverage that can be added to comprehensive policies, Allianz offers customers much higher limits of additional protection through the new update for material damages that may be paid to third parties following an accident. Under the renewed Full Coverage OFL coverages, the compensation limit for potential material damages is raised to TRY 100 million, and the limit for moral damages—an important protection for accidents resulting in serious consequences such as death and permanent disability—is raised to TRY 25 million. This new application provides drivers with much stronger and more comprehensive protection against larger risks and increasing costs they may face in traffic.

Batu Öncül, Deputy General Manager of Elementary Individual Insurance and Board Member at Allianz Turkey, stating that in addition to the risks encountered in traffic and rising damage and maintenance costs, comprehensive insurance is the most important protection for drivers, said: "Rising repair costs show that even a small claim can turn into serious expenses. In addition, increasing traffic risks and high compensation amounts that may result after an accident underline the need for stronger protection. Based on this need, we are launching a protection period with limits being pushed to alleviate the high cost burdens our customers may face. The new arrangement we have implemented provides our customers with nearly unlimited protection while delivering comprehensive coverage. Thanks to new coverages that can be added to comprehensive policies, our customers will have stronger financial protection and top-level security against high compensation claims."

With the new application offered to Allianz Turkey customers, the company also covers liabilities arising from the use of the insured vehicle for both the vehicle operator (insured) and the driver. The increased new OFL coverages provide additional protection not only for automobiles but also for vehicles such as vans, taxis, trucks, tankers, tractors, caravans, tractors and motorcycles, as well as their drivers.
