Meridian Adhesives Group Opens Application Development Center in Penang

Meridian aims to deliver advanced solutions to its customers and partners through its new application center.

Meridian Adhesives Group (Meridian) announced the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Penang Application Development Center (ADC), designed to develop technical capabilities and innovation in Asia. This strategic investment strengthens Meridian's presence in the region while expanding Pacific Adhesive Systems, one of its key brands in the Electronics Division, to deliver advanced solutions to customers and partners.

Meridian's Electronics Department is a global leader in high-performance adhesive solutions serving sectors such as semiconductors, consumer electronics, automotive and aerospace. The department houses leading brands including Epoxy Technology Inc., recognized by the Epo-Tek® brand, Epoxies, Etc. and Pacific Adhesive Systems.

The new Penang ADC will serve as a technical center for all Electronics Division customers in Asia as an extension of Pacific Adhesive Systems. The center will accelerate innovation in the industry by providing advanced application development, material testing and process optimization support.

A New Center for Research, Development and Technical Support
Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced testing laboratories, the Penang ADC is dedicated to improving material performance and manufacturing efficiency. The center will offer the following specialized services:
🔹 Thermal & Mechanical Testing – Detailed material analysis with equipment such as UV-DSC, TGA, DMA and TMA
🔹 Environmental Testing & Durability Assessment – Test chambers for humidity, temperature cycling and aging simulations
🔹 Advanced Measurement & Analysis Technologies – Quality control and R&D processes with die shear testing, rheometry and viscometry
🔹 Precision Dispensing & Mixing Technologies – Manufacturing optimization with automatic dispensing, plasma treatments and UV curing systems
🔹 State-of-the-Art Clean Room & Thermal Processing Laboratory – Class 10K clean room for contamination-sensitive applications

This new facility will significantly increase Meridian Adhesives Group's technical support and innovation capacity in the Asian market, enabling it to deliver faster and more effective solutions to customers.
