Kodiak acquires Southern Adhesives and Coatings
Kodiak Continues Growth Strategy With Southern Adhesives and Coatings Acquisition
Kodiak, a leading specialty chemical supplier to the steel, automotive, energy and aerospace industries, has strengthened its market position by acquiring Southern Adhesives and Coatings.
This move, representing Kodiak's second acquisition in 2024, positions the company to serve the paper and packaging industries. Earlier in 2024, Kodiak had acquired Aztech Lubricants, which produces specialized powders and process fluids for the wire-drawing industry in Oklahoma. Continuing growth in niche markets, the company is simplifying purchasing for its customers and bringing suppliers together.
Based in Madeira, Ohio, Southern Adhesives and Coatings is a boutique supplier serving the paper and packaging industries. Distinguished by its premium adhesive and coating portfolio, Southern Adhesives and Coatings offers specialized products for applications including paper and cardboard lamination, label adhesion and lining food packaging such as beverage cartons.
Kevin Dickey, Kodiak Chief Executive Officer, said: "With the acquisition of Southern Adhesives and Coatings, we continue to execute our growth strategy: expanding our product portfolio while consolidating our manufacturing at our state-of-the-art facilities in Cincinnati, Ohio and Wayne, Oklahoma. Our customers worldwide have demonstrated their confidence in our ability to address their evolving needs through supplier consolidation and to simplify their purchasing."
The integration of Southern Adhesives and Coatings demonstrates Kodiak's commitment to delivering comprehensive solutions that address diverse industrial needs.
