Quartz Aggregate Powder Surface Hardener A cement-based, quartz aggregate surface hardener ready for use, applied in powder form onto fresh concrete surfaces subject to medium and heavy loads.Application Areas
• In indoor and outdoor spaces, • Industrial facility floors, • Hangars and workshops, • Garages and car parks, • Warehouses, • Loading and unloading areas, • Areas subject to rubber-wheeled vehicle traffic.Properties
• Easy to apply onto freshly laid concrete. • Enables achievement of uniform and homogeneous surface finish. • Prevents wear caused by mechanical loading. • Provides impact resistance. • Delays surface dusting.Application Instructions Surface Quality
• The quality of supplied concrete must not vary; the entire surface must have uniform strength. • Concrete slab must be fully compacted, minimum C25 class (350 dosage, 25 N/mm2), prepared with minimum water-cement ratio. • Applied concrete thickness must be minimum 15 cm. • Concretes containing entrained air are not suitable for surface hardener application. • The surface of fresh concrete to be treated must be levelled with a wooden straightedge.Application Method
• Allow the base concrete to reach a state where it can be walked on. Footprint depth when walked on should be 0.5-1.5 cm. • Allow bleeding water to move away from the surface depending on conditions. • For mechanical application, immediately after spreading 5 kg/m2 Tecnica 32 DS with an automatic spreader in one pass, distribute evenly over the surface. • For manual application, spreading is recommended in two stages (3 kg/m2 in first stage, 2 kg/m2 in second stage). • Ensure careful and homogeneous distribution without creating waves on the surface. • Do not spread from distances greater than 2 m. • Allow the spread material to absorb moisture from the concrete. Colour change indicates that adequate moisture level has been reached. • Trowel with low-speed mechanical trowel (helicopter). • Never add water to surface hardener-treated surface. • Final adjustments can be made by hand or helicopter trowel. • Looseness or slurrying on the surface indicates the concrete is still fresh. • Once concrete reaches appropriate hardening level, perform initial finish with low-speed metal-blade trowel at minimum angle, and work at high speed for final finish.TECNICA 132
Epoxy Primer, Levelling Mortar, Intermediate Coat, Mortar Coating
A two-component, epoxy-based, low-viscosity, solvent-free primer.Application Areas
• On concrete and cement screed surfaces, • On normal and highly absorbent surfaces, • As primer and intermediate coat for Tecnica Floor Coatings, • As binder for levelling, filling and repair mortars, • In indoor and outdoor environments.Properties
• Solvent-free. • Low viscosity. • Penetrating capability. • High adhesive strength. • Easy to apply. • Multi-purpose. • Can be used in outdoor environments.Application Instructions Surface Quality
• Ensure the surface is dry, sound and has adequate compressive strength (minimum 25 N/mm2). • Surface pull-off strength must be at least 1.5 N/mm2. • Surface must be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil, coatings and surface curing agents that would prevent adhesion. • In case of doubt, conduct a test application.Surface Preparation
• Concrete surfaces must be abraded using abrasive equipment appropriate to surface characteristics to obtain a porous surface, removing cement slurry to reach aggregate. • Surface moisture content must not exceed 4% by weight. • There must be no moisture rising from the surface. PE sheet test is recommended for verification. • Substrate temperature must remain constant between minimum 10°C - maximum 30°C, and dew point must be at least 3°C above substrate temperature. • Cracks must be repaired if necessary.TECNICA 242 SL
Self-Levelling Epoxy Coating
An epoxy-based, two-component, low-viscosity, solvent-free, self-levelling and self-smoothing coating.Application Areas
• On concrete and cement screed surfaces, • On surfaces subject to normal to moderate heavy loading such as storage and assembly areas, maintenance workshops, garages and loading ramps, • In multi-storey and underground car parks and maintenance hangars, • In beverage and food industry, • In shopping centres and supermarkets, • In exhibition and fair spaces, • In showrooms, • In garages.Properties
• Solvent-free. • Easy to apply. • High mechanical strength. • Chemical resistant. • Glossy surface finish. • Non-slip surface obtainable.Application Instructions Surface Quality
• Weak concrete must be removed, voids and holes on the surface must be fully exposed. • Surface must be repaired and levelled. • Concrete or screed surfaces must be primed with Tecnica 132 or Tecnica 142 or levelled to create a uniform surface. • Surface moisture content must not exceed 4% by weight. • There must be no moisture rising from the surface. PE sheet test is recommended for verification. • Substrate temperature must remain constant between minimum 10°C - maximum 30°C, and dew point must be at least 3°C above substrate temperature.Gallery
