Halliburton Introduces Sealing Product to Improve Drilling Stability
Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) has introduced BaraFLC® Nano-1, a nanocomposite suspension wellbore sealant that enhances the stability of drilling wells.
This innovative sealant works alongside Halliburton's existing conventional and high-performance water-based fluid systems to provide tighter and more secure sealing that reduces fluid loss into the formation.
Halliburton's BaraFLC Nano-1 sealant uses nanoparticles to prevent pore pressure transmission by reducing interaction between filtrate and reactive shale formations. This can help strengthen wellbore integrity, potentially extending drilling time and efficiency.
Sold as a liquid, the BaraFLC Nano-1 sealant reduces bag waste and airborne dust. It comes in ready-to-inject form and mixes easily with water-based fluids, making the production process more efficient.
