DuPont Opens New Adhesive Production Facility

DuPont Opens New Adhesives Manufacturing Facility DuPont (NYSE: DD) held a ceremony to inaugurate its new adhesives manufacturing facility in Zhangjiagang, located in eastern China. The new facility will produce adhesives to serve customers in the transportation sector, particularly in light and rapidly growing vehicle electrification applications. Designed to meet regional demand, the facility commits to delivering a world-class experience to customers. With advanced process capabilities, high-quality products, strong technical support, and strategic advantages in transportation and logistics, the facility incorporates a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) designed to optimize production processes and interconnect all aspects of operations. The MES is expected to make the production process more visible, traceable, and reliable. Vice President, Global DuPont Adhesives and Liquids, Tedlar® and Multibase™, Tina Wu, stated, "We are excited to open this new manufacturing facility with state-of-the-art equipment, innovative products, and outstanding colleagues. The facility, located within the Yangtze River International Chemical Industry Park in the ZJG Free Trade Zone, will manufacture a range of important products. These include BETAFORCE™ TC thermally conductive adhesives and BETATECH™ thermal interface materials specifically designed to support battery thermal management during hybrid and electric vehicle charging and operation. The facility will also produce BETAFORCE™ multi-material adhesives for use in battery sealing and assembly processes. In Zhangjiagang, the facility will also manufacture BETAMATE™ structural adhesives with wide cure windows for vehicle body structure and battery bonding applications to support crash resistance and lighter vehicle structures.
