US-based adhesive tape specialist CCT (Coating & Converting Technologies) becomes part of ATP Adhesive Systems Group, a Switzerland-based leader in water-based specialty adhesive tapes. The combination strengthens both companies' market positions by offering customers an even broader range of specialized solutions. ATP Adhesive Systems Group has been a pioneer and market leader in high-performance adhesive tapes focused exclusively on water-based technology for over 30 years. The company serves a wide range of markets including construction, medical, transportation, electronics, household appliances and general industries, providing specialized solutions through in-house R&D capabilities. ATP employs approximately 450 personnel at its manufacturing facilities in Germany and the UK and at its headquarters and development center in Switzerland. CCT (Coating and Converting Technologies) has proven itself over the past 30 years as a leading specialty adhesive tape provider in the US in many of the same markets as ATP. CCT founder Robert Dempsey and CEO Rich Hipp will continue to operate the company's business from its Philadelphia locations. Both companies provide customized solutions to their customers – ATP's R&D and coating expertise and CCT's technology are highly complementary. ATP and CCT hope to expand service delivery particularly to customers in North America. ATP CEO Daniel Heini states: "We have known Rob and CCT for many years and are delighted to welcome the entire CCT team to the ATP family. We have always viewed CCT as an outstanding platform and are eager to start working together. We will invest significantly in CCT's operations to provide its North American customers with the best possible products and services. Our acquisition of CCT underscores ATP's strong ambition to expand internationally and further diversify its offerings." CCT CEO Rich Hipp adds: "I am very excited that CCT will be part of ATP, whose DNA is very similar to ours and is focused on delivering the best total value solution to customers. Additionally, access to ATP's leading adhesive technology and formulation expertise will provide significant benefits to our customers while positioning CCT as one of North America's leading specialty adhesive tape manufacturers." Family investor Bregal Unternehmerkapital acquired ATP in 2018 and is focused on growing the business globally alongside the management team. CCT customers can contact their sales representatives with any questions. Source
