Holcim acquires Cand-Landi Group
Holcim acquires Cand-Landi Group to advance decarbonization and circularity in Switzerland.
Holcim has acquired Cand-Landi Group to advance decarbonization and circular construction in Switzerland. Cand-Landi, with consolidated net sales of CHF 70 million and 250 employees, operates across diverse activities ranging from recycling and waste management to aggregate and ready-mix concrete production.
The acquisition will accelerate decarbonization at Holcim's Eclépens facility by providing new alternative raw material and fuel sources. It will also increase Holcim's capacity to recycle construction demolition materials into new building solutions by 100,000 tonnes annually.
Holcim Chief Executive Officer Miljan Gutovic said, "The acquisition of Cand-Landi Group will advance decarbonization and circularity in Switzerland, a core market for innovation at Holcim. I welcome the 250 employees of Cand-Landi Group and look forward to investing together in our next growth phase."
Cand-Landi Group, a leader in recycling in the French-speaking region of Switzerland, is a family company with 128 years of history. Combined with the long-standing successful partnership between Holcim and Cand-Landi, the acquisition will deliver more comprehensive solutions to customers in construction, logistics and the circular economy.
With high-value railway logistics services and network, Cand-Landi diversifies Holcim's operations while contributing to its goal of decarbonizing its own activities.
