Leadership Transition at Textile Group Founded by Zorlu Holding 65 Years Ago…
Zorlu Holding, among Turkey's leading conglomerates, has announced a management change at Zorlu Tekstil, one of its group companies. Following Vedat Aydın, who led Zorlu Tekstil Group Presidency for 21 years and spearheaded numerous pioneering projects in the Group's and Turkish textile sector's global expansion and transformation, Necat Altın, who previously served as Vice Chairman of the Group, has been appointed Group President of Zorlu Tekstil. Altın, who began his career as an engineer at Zorlu Tekstil Grubu in 1992 and has held positions at every level of the company since then, previously served as General Manager of Korteks before his role as Vice Chairman of Zorlu Tekstil Grubu. Objective to Lead Turkish Textile Sector to Global Leadership
Operating through 12 companies including Korteks, Europe's largest integrated polyester yarn producer and exporter, and Zorluteks, one of the global leaders in home textile production, Zorlu Tekstil Grubu will continue its projects, pursued with a vision of being a pioneer and leader not only in Turkey but also in neighboring markets with a population of 700 million, now under Necat Altın's leadership. Altın, who will lead the Group's future-oriented projects, aims to spearhead the process of advancing Zorlu Tekstil Grubu and the Turkish textile sector's competitiveness in international markets by integrating the 'technical textiles' initiative—high-tech, high-value-added production being conducted at the Bursa Korteks Production Hub—into the Group's other factories and investments.Sectoral Representation on International Platforms
Since 1992, Necat Altın has held significant positions at Zorlu Tekstil Grubu, serving as coordinator of the 'Berkun' project, regarded as the world's largest polyester yarn project, and playing an important role in its successful completion in record time. Rising quickly to Deputy General Manager responsible for Production at Korteks, Altın became General Manager of Korteks in 2004. Since 2016, Necat Altın has served as General Manager while also holding the position of Vice Chairman of Zorlu Tekstil Grubu. Altın serves as Board Member and Board Chairman in numerous leading platforms and civil society organizations both domestically, including "Suseb" and "Bosiad," and internationally, such as the "European Man Made Fiber Association."Advertisement
