Yeşim-Almaxtex Textile Wins First Prize

Yeşim-Almaxtex Tekstil won first place in the "Energy Efficiency" category at the Productivity Project Awards organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. A total of 24 enterprises and institutions developing the most efficient projects across 8 categories were announced at the Productivity Project Awards, held for the eighth time this year by the General Directorate of Strategic Research and Productivity under the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The award ceremony for the competition, organized to increase Turkey's competitiveness and establish a sustainable, productivity-based structure for the economy, took place on 23 December at the Aydın Chamber of Commerce Conference Hall. The program was attended by Minister Varank, along with Aydın Governor Hüseyin Aksoy, Ministry of Industry and Technology Deputy Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, protocol members, and representatives from civil society and political parties.

Speaking at the ceremony, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank noted that this year they reached the highest figures with 593 projects from 55 provinces, continuing his remarks as follows:

"We are fortunate that in our competition, which we are organizing for the eighth time, these figures represent the highest level we have reached so far. Inspiring projects came from different sectors—from automotive to defense, from food to textiles—addressing recycling, energy efficiency, clean production, high-efficiency and precision equipment development, and process improvement." Following the opening remarks of the ceremony, Minister Varank presented awards to the winning enterprises. At the event, Almaxtex Tekstil San. ve Tic. A.Ş. was the recipient of the first-place award in the energy efficiency category. Almaxtex Tekstil Machinery Energy Manager İbrahim Sezgin received the award from Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank. At the ceremony, Almaxtex Tekstil Dyehouse Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Erkan Aydın, Electrical-Electronics Maintenance Supervisor Yalçın Tekcan, and Fabric Operational Excellence Group Leader Cansu Yılmaz were also present. Almaxtex Tekstil Machinery Energy Manager İbrahim Sezgin expressed his satisfaction that the productivity work they have been conducting for a long time has received recognition on such a major platform. Sezgin emphasized that Almaxtex Tekstil, operating in Bursa under the Yeşim Group umbrella, will continue its energy efficiency initiatives going forward, and noted that the Group is focusing on productivity efforts for production facilities at its other locations as well.
