SF Trade Sets Its 2022 Strategy
SF Trade, which serves the leather and textile sectors with a wide range of production, set its 2022 strategy plan at an evaluation meeting it organized. Operating production through a quality, environment and people-focused system, SF Trade mapped out its new roadmap by laying out the global objectives it will implement for a sustainable world by 2030.
SF Trade General Manager Aylin Gözay, noting that the company closed 2021 with growth despite the pandemic, stated that they are moving forward with firm steps in the sector by keeping pace with current conditions.
Within the framework of sustainable growth and adaptation strategy to a changing world, Aylin Gözay, recalling that they conduct production at international standards by paying attention to elements such as production efficiency, green energy and carbon footprint, stated: "We obtained the I-REC green energy certificate for 2020-2021. We are continuing our work on ISO 50001 energy management certification. Although we do not engage in heavy industrial production, we wanted to take a small step by minimizing our carbon footprint. This year we want to make carbon footprint tracking possible.
We have also adopted innovative and environmentally conscious approaches in our products. We want to provide our customers with more technology-focused and environmentally friendly products. We are also focusing on R&D and product development to improve product diversity and quality. We have set a direction for ourselves in line with 17 sustainable development goals. We will continue on our path with new investments by implementing each stage at the appropriate time," he said.
"We Passed the Test During the Pandemic"
Aylin Gözay, noting that all sectors experienced difficulties due to the pandemic and that SF Trade performed well during this period, continued her remarks as follows: "Sustainable growth is only possible by correctly understanding the goals and needs of the new world. Human and environmental health now matter more than ever. I can say that we passed an important test, especially under pandemic conditions. During the peak of the pandemic, we experienced multiple illnesses and faced the risk of the system locking down.
Together with our company doctors, through precautionary measures we took before the pandemic started in our country and through systematic monitoring, we did not observe a significant number of cases in our company. During this process, we were able to continue our production without interruption and did not cause any delays for our customers. The vaccination rate of our employees is also at around 90 percent. We feel great responsibility toward our employees and customers. For this reason, we took the necessary precautions very carefully and continue to do so," he said.
Gözay concluded his remarks by adding: "We continue to be preferred by good companies in the sector. At the same time, we want to draw a new vision for ourselves and become a knowledge center. We closed 2021 with growth. We want to close 2022 with sustainable growth as well."
