Kipaş Tekstil Becomes Turkey Champion
Kipaş Tekstil wins Turkey championship in Turkey Innovation League 'Innovation Culture and Organization' category.
According to a company statement, the winners of Turkey Innovation League (İnovaLig), which identifies Turkey's most innovative companies and is organized under the coordination of the Ministry of Commerce and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), have been announced.
According to the information provided, Kipaş Tekstil established the foundation for R&D and innovation in 2010, and formalized this approach in 2015 by establishing an R&D Center approved by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. The center received the distinction of being the first R&D Center in both Kahramanmaraş and the region.
With the establishment of Kipaş R&D Center, one of the most important factors in Kipaş Tekstil's position among the sector's leading organizations has been its systematic innovation work in production technology.
Production techniques and technologies in both yarn and fabric manufacturing facilities are being renewed and developed through R&D projects to enable the production of products in line with customer demands and technology trends.
Within the scope of developing high-value new products, process-technology development, sustainability-efficiency work at Kipaş R&D Center, 42 researchers from different disciplines such as textile engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering and environmental engineering, 9 technicians and 4 support staff are working.
Within the R&D center, 78 completed projects (7 of which are TÜBİTAK) and 18 ongoing projects (1 of which is Horizon) are being conducted, and in addition to its own engineering team, joint scientific projects with many universities from within and outside the country and collaboration projects with international customers and suppliers are being carried out.
Kipaş Tekstil has 15 registered patents (1 of which is international) and 19 patent applications under evaluation since the establishment of the R&D center. Additionally, 6 brands have been created and registered since the establishment of the R&D center.
