İşbir Sentetik Strengthens Presence in Europe
İşbir Sentetik Strengthening Position in Europe
İşbir Sentetik, one of Europe's leading BigBag manufacturers, announced receipt of significant orders. The company sources a substantial portion of its production energy from solar power plant investments and aims to achieve export records with the new orders. The company will also meet 55 percent of its energy needs from solar power plants in the new year.
While the energy crisis affects many companies across different sectors in European countries, it has begun to present new opportunities for Turkish companies. Production demand that European companies cannot meet is being directed toward Turkish firms. İşbir Sentetik, which sources 55 percent of its required production energy from solar power plant investments, is receiving new orders from European countries.
İşbir Sentetik General Manager Metin Gültepe: "Both solar power plants (SPP) and wind power plants (WPP) have wide-open prospects. Very serious investments are currently being made.
Our production consumes very significant amounts of energy. Energy costs are continuously rising. Due to the increase in energy costs, we are seeing many companies in European countries pause or completely halt their production. Within the first half of 2023, our total solar power plant investment will reach 20 megawatt peak capacity.
In this way, we will be generating 55 percent of our required energy ourselves. This increases our competitiveness. The production contraction in European countries due to the energy crisis has brought significant demand growth directed toward us. We are trying to keep up with the new orders. With our fulfillment of new orders, we expect serious increases in our export figures" he said.
Turkey Providing SPP and WPP Incentives for 20 Years
Turkey has provided significant incentives for renewable energy, particularly solar power plants, for 20 years. Through a Presidential Decree amending the Decision on State Aid for Investments published recently in the Official Gazette, the scope of SPP and WPP incentives has been expanded. Implementation to enable RES and SPP investments to benefit from Zone 4 incentives has been completed. Long-standing energy incentives, particularly for SPP and WPP, have placed Turkey in an advantageous position. The new incentive regulations are being evaluated as a positive step by those wishing to make investments. Meanwhile, further acceleration of SPP and WPP investments is expected.Advertisement
