Advanced Chemical Management TÜV Rheinland obtains ZDHC InCheck Verifier qualification for advanced chemical management TÜV Rheinland, a leading organization in testing, inspection and certification services, has obtained the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) InCheck Verifier Level 1 qualification. This achievement demonstrates the company's commitment to realizing its objectives in improving chemical management practices in the textile and footwear supply chain. The ZDHC InCheck Verifier system is part of the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme, which guides the fashion industry toward eliminating harmful chemicals from the global supply chain. The qualification process for InCheck Verifier Level 1 includes evaluation of a verifier's technical competence, including the ability to conduct on-site assessments and provide accurate and reliable data. Mickey Yu, Vice President of TÜV Rheinland Softlines, said: "This qualification is an important milestone for TÜV Rheinland and proof of our expertise in chemical management. We are committed to helping our customers improve their environmental sustainability and social responsibility, and the ZDHC InCheck Verifier qualification will enable us to do so more effectively." The ZDHC Programme is a coalition of more than 160 international companies and organizations representing brands, retailers, chemical suppliers and manufacturers working together to eliminate hazardous chemicals in the textile industry. Its aim is to completely eliminate pollutants from production. One of the key features of ZDHC is the Manufactured Restricted Substances List (MRSL), which identifies chemical substances that must be excluded from use in the processing of textile and footwear materials. ZDHC Approved InCheck (Level 1) will enable facilities to identify areas for continuous improvement of their chemical inventories. In this way, facilities can reduce the risk of hazardous chemicals used in production for workers, the environment and consumers, and increase their overall sustainability performance. TÜV Rheinland's qualification as a ZDHC InCheck Verifier is part of the company's ongoing efforts to promote sustainable practices across industries. As a leading provider of testing, inspection and certification services, TÜV Rheinland is committed to helping its customers navigate complex regulatory environments and achieve their sustainability goals. Companies can find more information on how to audit and improve their chemical inventories on the Detox Solutions page of the TÜV Rheinland website. TÜV Rheinland initially plans to offer the service in the following countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.
