Archroma Announces 20% Price Increase for Fluorochemical Product Range

Archroma has announced an increase of up to 20% in the sales prices of its Nuva® N and Fluowet® fluorocarbon polymers. Fluorocarbon polymers are typically used in key applications where a water and/or oil barrier is required, such as personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare professionals or other technical textiles.

The company made the following statement:

"As a global leader in the field of repellency treatments, we have a responsibility to develop and manufacture products with the highest sustainability, both economically and ecologically. The price increase became necessary due to rising regulatory costs and other expenses, as well as Archroma's continuous investments in its own manufacturing technology and processes, to produce fluorochemicals in the safest possible way for consumers and the environment. The price increase will be effective as of 16 November 2020 for all new orders and, to the extent permitted by contracts, in all regions and markets."
