Aksa Akrilik Sets Out New Targets in Published Report
Aksa Akrilik, world's leading acrylic fiber producer, has published its first Integrated Report prepared within the framework of its sustainability approach. The report includes a business model that creates long-term shared value for all stakeholders and new targets.
Aksa Akrilik, which has signed the United Nations Global Compact and is a member of Global Compact, the world's largest initiative in the field of sustainability, shared its first Integrated Report with the public. Aksa Akrilik, which aims to create value for the future in the social, environmental and economic areas, is among the select companies publishing Integrated Reports.
The report contains risk management, targets, dialogue established with stakeholders and shared values as well as environmental, social and corporate governance performance. Prepared taking into account Global Compact standards, the report also includes the company's contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN and the "Integrated Management Approach."

Evaluated by global standards
The report, which covers the company's 12-month operating period between 1 January and 31 December 2019, was prepared in accordance with the International Integrated Reporting Council's (IIRC) "Core" criteria option. Under the framework of six different capital elements proposed by the IIRC, transparent analyses are conducted with an integrated thinking approach regarding Aksa Akrilik's sustainability performance, ethical principles, investments and R&D activities. Cengiz Taş, Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of Aksa Akrilik, whose views are included in the report, emphasized the shared long-term value created for stakeholders. Taş stated: "In line with our management strategy, we are internalizing the integrated thinking model.
