'Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi' Raises Awareness in Environmental Cleanliness

Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye organized various activities as part of Environment Week in cooperation with Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Environment and Urban Planning Commission and the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urban Planning. Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye, while reflecting its global environmental awareness initiatives to the world, drew attention to raising environmental consciousness through events, activities and seminars held during June, which is recognized as Environment Month in Toyota factories. With the support of its employees and their families, Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye continues to take confident steps in raising awareness about environmental consciousness.

Environment Drawing Competition

Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye, alongside its efforts to promote environmental passion, aims to increase environmental awareness through activities carried out during Environment Month. In this scope, the World Environment Day Themed Primary School Drawing Competition Award Ceremony, supported by SATSO, Sakarya Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urban Planning, Sakarya Provincial Police Directorate, Sakarya Provincial Directorate of National Education and Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye, was held. Students who placed in the top three in the drawing competition were awarded bicycles.

Environmental Gifts Distributed

Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye, with the goal of raising environmental awareness, distributed a total of 2,000 canvas bags and informational brochures along with coloring sets and sketchbooks for children. Gifts were handed out to vehicles at a busy intersection in Sakarya in cooperation with the Police Directorate.

Sapanca Shores Now Cleaner

Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye, continuing to take more effective steps through sustainable work during Environment Month, carried out an environmental cleanup event at Lake Sapanca by collecting and sorting waste to raise awareness. The event was attended by SATSO Management Board Deputy Chairman Yüksel Avşar, Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urban Planning Branch Directors Mustafa Yurten and Hasan Şahin and institutional staff, SATSO Environment and Urban Planning Commission Chairman Tuncer Acan, Commission Deputy Chairs Gamze Ergene and Fatih Boztepe, Commission Members Çetin Kahya and Seda Tümay, students and numerous environmental volunteers.

The Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye team, which contributed to the collection of accumulated and overlooked waste, raised awareness to pass on the principles of "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" to future generations. Environmental training was provided to employees in cooperation with the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency.
