Applications Continue for Bayer Youth Ag Summit on Sustainable Future in Agriculture

Applications are being accepted for the Bayer Youth Ag Summit, which aims to provide a platform for the next generation that can drive change and develop solutions for a more sustainable future in agriculture, while equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills. The Youth Ag Summit will be held on a digital platform for the first time in November. The United Nations estimates that the world population will reach 9.7 billion by 2050 and that this population will face food security challenges. The 100 young people selected for the Youth Ag Summit, which will be organized under the theme "Feeding a Hungry Planet," will work together to develop sustainable solutions for food security and global agriculture based on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Liam Condon, Member of the Board of Management and Head of the Crop Science Division at Bayer AG: "We believe that young leaders need to develop a healthier food and agriculture system. Through their work at Youth Ag Summit 2021, young leaders will expand their networks, strengthen themselves with new skills and knowledge, and find inspiration to take action," he said. All young people aged 18-25 who are personally, professionally and academically interested in agriculture, international development, food security, biotechnology and/or farming, can apply to the Youth Ag Summit by filling out the application form at www.youthagsummit.com and submitting their 3-minute video presentations.
