Schneider Electric and Şekerbank Sign Key Partnership for Sustainable Future

Schneider Electric and Şekerbank signed a cooperation protocol covering the financing of energy efficiency and renewable energy investments.

Schneider Electric and Şekerbank signed a cooperation protocol covering financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments.

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has signed an important cooperation protocol with Şekerbank, Turkey's first bank to offer energy efficiency financing products. The cooperation will support Turkish companies in their energy transformation processes by delivering sustainability-focused solutions such as energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.

The cooperation protocol was signed between Elçin Ersu, Deputy General Manager of Schneider Electric Services Business Unit, and Özlem Selçuk Erkan, Deputy General Manager responsible for Corporate and Commercial Banking at Şekerbank.

This protocol brings together Schneider Electric's technical expertise and Şekerbank's financial experience in financing energy efficiency and renewable energy investments for organized industrial zones, factories, data centers, hotels, hospitals and other end users. In this way, financial and technical solutions required by companies will be provided in line with sustainable development objectives.

Through this cooperation, the aim is to develop innovative solutions for the energy crisis during a period when industrial energy consumption is rising rapidly. The agreement will provide the technical and financial support that companies need in their sustainability processes. The work to be implemented under the cooperation will make a significant contribution to Turkey's carbon footprint reduction targets set under the Paris Climate Agreement.

"We are combining the knowledge and experience we have gained over many years with Şekerbank's financial expertise."

Elçin Ersu, Deputy General Manager of Schneider Electric Services Business Unit, spoke about this important cooperation as follows: "As Schneider Electric, we are combining the knowledge and experience we have gained over many years in energy efficiency and sustainability with Şekerbank's financial expertise. As we combat climate change and energy crises, the role that the business world will play in this process is of vital importance. This cooperation, which once again demonstrates our determination to combat the climate crisis we face, is an important step toward contributing to a sustainable future."

"This cooperation we have established with Schneider Electric presents an important opportunity for us to fulfill our environmental responsibilities."

Özlem Selçuk Erkan, Deputy General Manager responsible for Corporate and Commercial Banking at Şekerbank, noted that this important cooperation will contribute to sustainable development objectives, stating: "As Şekerbank, by placing sustainability and environmental sensitivity at the center of our business model, we are taking important steps to reduce our country's carbon footprint and increase energy efficiency. This cooperation we have established with Schneider Electric offers an important opportunity not only for economic growth, but also for fulfilling our environmental responsibilities. By supporting energy efficiency and renewable energy investments, we aim to contribute to Turkey's sustainable development objectives."
