Schneider Electric shares strong first-half results aligned with sustainability commitments In the second quarter of 2023, the company completed the midpoint of its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program covering 2021-2025. Schneider Electric, which reports progress quarterly within this program encompassing 11 global and approximately 200 local targets, marked the first 2.5 years of the program with significantly expanded initiatives to provide access to clean and reliable energy. Steady growth in green revenues and significant work to reduce customers' CO2 emissions played an important role in these developments. During this period, Schneider Electric implemented a new structure in its supply chain and achieved significant progress in sustainable packaging and materials. Thus, it achieved strong results in reducing emissions from suppliers' operations. Within this scope, Schneider Electric launched a 'decent work' initiative and is focused on accelerating comprehensive sustainable value chain efforts. According to the information provided, as a result of sustainability efforts consistently implemented in the second quarter of the year, the company is rapidly approaching its year-end target of 6 out of 10 Sustainability Impact score. While the company's half-year score was 5.28, it also proved its strong sustainability impact through awards presented by independent institutions during this period. Schneider Electric received the iF Design Award in the second quarter of the year for its fair stand design focused on energy efficiency and circularity, and was ranked 1st in the 'Top 25' on Gartner's Supply Chain List for the eighth consecutive year. Schneider Electric, honored with a special award at the 2023 Transparency Awards for ESG information and reporting work conducted with high quality and transparency, also earned Fair Wage Network certification through the value it places on employees and fair wage policy. In the second quarter of the year, Schneider Electric stood out with strong collaborations, partnering with governments and chief executives at the International Energy Agency's (IEA) annual global conference on the Versailles 10x10 action plan launched to double the energy efficiency improvement rate by 2030.
