Schneider Electric Holds Second Sustainability Impact Awards

Schneider Electric held the second edition of its Sustainability Impact Awards, which encourage companies to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. The finalists of the award programme contribute to industry development and the world's future through pioneering sustainability work. Launched in 2022, the award programme makes visible the strong impact created by Schneider Electric together with companies in its ecosystem. This year, the company expanded the scope of the award programme to include customers and suppliers alongside business partners. In this way, companies creating value for the world's future on a broad scale participated in the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Awards with their work. In this year's award programme, 3 of the 6 awards in the Middle East and Africa region went to companies from Turkey. In this context, Doğuş Teknoloji, a regional finalist, received the award in a ceremony held between the two companies. Mehmet Sağlam, Vice General Manager of Digital Energy and Secure Power Business Units at Schneider Electric Turkey and Central Asia, stated that this award is an expression of the value added to the economy, environment and society through long-term business collaborations: "The Sustainability Impact Awards provide an important opportunity to celebrate the successful work of our customers, suppliers and business partners worldwide and to learn from each other to create better solutions. Sustainability Impact Awards held for the second time

In the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Awards, participants are evaluated in terms of integrated sustainability approaches, electrification, carbon reduction and offsetting efforts, digitalisation and the ability to create an Electricity 4.0 future through decarbonisation. In this context, exemplary applications in energy efficiency, digital tools and technologies were evaluated. The selection criteria also included applications developed to reach net-zero targets through electrification and digitalisation of operations. As a result of this rigorous evaluation, global and regional winners were determined. Among this year's finalists are companies with pioneering work ranging from smart and sustainable water and energy management to best renewable energy practices, from solutions enabling 100% net-zero emissions to climate-positive production facilities. In this context, 3 companies from Turkey were among the Regional Finalists this year and were recognised among 6 successful companies across the region.
