Cooperation Between the Federation of Plastics Industrialists and PETKİM Strengthens
At a visit to PETKİM's Aliağa facility in Izmir by the Plastik Sanayicileri Federasyonu, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, diversifying awareness activities around plastics, and PETKİM's planned investments in coming years.
Noting that Federation relations with PETKİM have warmed recently and cooperation has strengthened, Karadeniz stated: "Training programs and workshops are needed on topics the plastics sector requires. I believe our cooperation on this will develop further in the period ahead.
Your support for the sector meeting we held in Izmir in November was an excellent example of this, and we are intensifying our efforts to ensure such activities occur more frequently."
PETKİM CEO Anar Mammadov expressed his views, saying: "Meeting here today with the leadership of a valued civil society organization like PLASFED is very important for us. As our Chairman Ömer Karadeniz noted, we must increase our cooperation.
We are ready to provide all the support we can in this regard."
Stating that Turkey's current account deficit will be reduced by USD 1.5 billion through SOCAR's Star Refinery investment, Mammadov added: "Turkey and PETKİM hold great strategic importance for SOCAR, which is why we continue detailed work on various investments."
