Koroplast Leads the Way in Recycling

Koroplast prioritizes recycling in its corporate social responsibility projects. As part of its 40th anniversary initiative, the "waste collection campaign at 40 different locations" enabled Koroplast employees and volunteers to collect 8,000 kg of waste using 18,257 recycling bags in a short period. The company aims to create a book from these collected materials to raise awareness among future generations.

Koroplast, which celebrates its 40th anniversary with the slogan "A livable world," places importance on protecting nature and raising awareness of environmental cleanliness, taking ownership of these areas. While producing biodegradable products in recycling, the company has also launched awareness initiatives and gained recognition through various projects. Within the scope of its "A livable world" project launched in its 40th year, it first initiated the "waste collection campaign at 40 different locations." Subsequently, Koroplast will prepare a children's book from the collected waste that emphasizes the importance of recycling for the world and instills environmental consciousness in young readers. The company aims to distribute this book, which children will both learn from and enjoy reading, across Turkey by year-end.

8,000 kg of Waste Collected in 2 Months

Within the framework of the waste collection campaign, beaches, nature parks and green areas in Istanbul, Adana, Izmir, Antalya, Kocaeli and Mersin were cleaned by teams consisting of Koroplast employees and volunteers during August and September. A total of 8,000 kg of waste was collected using 18,257 recycling bags, sorted and delivered to the recycling facilities of the relevant municipalities for further processing.
