Kimpur and TURMEPA Join Forces Kimpur, which adopts a sustainable business model and operates with the goal of creating a more liveable world, once again demonstrated its environmental sensitivity. On Sunday, 4 June, volunteers from Kimpur's staff came together with TURMEPA to conduct a coastal cleanup. At the coastal cleanup event held at Moda Beach, the aim was to raise awareness about environmental protection and cleanliness with reference to 5 June Environment Day. Kimpur participated in the coastal cleanup event in cooperation with TURMEPA to draw attention to the environmental problems facing the seas and to mobilize society on environmental sustainability. Kimpur's volunteer staff came together on Sunday, 4 June at Moda Beach, carefully collecting accumulated waste, plastic bottles, plastic bags and other materials harmful to the marine ecosystem. Dedicated efforts were made to reduce the damage caused by harmful waste to the marine ecosystem and to clean our seas. Derya Esnaf, Director of Marketing and Sustainability, underscored that they will continue their work with the goal of leaving a cleaner and more liveable world for future generations and spoke as follows about the coastal cleanup event: "As Kimpur, we are committed to creating a positive impact in our environment as much as in our business. Protecting nature and taking responsibility for a sustainable future are among our priorities. Therefore, we came together with TURMEPA to increase environmental awareness and clean our coasts. Our aim is to inspire society and initiate change in our surroundings. We believe that small steps can turn into major changes." he said. Kimpur staff contributed to environmental cleanup by collecting 11 kg of glass waste, 9 kg of plastic waste, 2 kg of paper waste, 1 kg of metal waste and 1 kg of non-recyclable waste in 15 minutes, achieving a total of 24 kg of waste and a gain of 66.99 kWh. Kimpur draws attention with its plans to synthesize polyol from PET waste and establish a recycling facility in order to demonstrate its sensitivity to environmental pollution. Through these efforts, Kimpur plays a pioneering role in reducing plastic pollution in nature and promoting recycling. Continuing its work particularly on plastic pollution, Kimpur took environmentally friendly steps in line with the commitments it made last year as a member of the Business Initiative on Plastic (İPG). By stopping the use of single-use plastics, the company prevented 800 kg of plastic use, and also prevented 193 tons of plastic use by safely washing IBC containers.
