Kimpur Donates 10,000 Saplings to Ege Orman Vakfı Moving forward with steps to reduce its carbon footprint, the company is creating a memorial forest in İzmit by donating 10,000 saplings to Ege Orman Vakfı, which was established on the principle of tree planting, forest conservation and spreading environmental awareness to every segment of society. Reducing carbon footprint holds great importance within the framework of the transformations foreseen for compliance with the EU Green Deal. Kimpur, one of the companies taking pioneering steps to deliver the necessary transformations related to the EU Green Deal compliance process, continues its work to minimize emissions that cause the climate crisis. Moving toward a more livable world and adopting a sustainable business model, the company has added a new project to its ecosystem-contributing initiatives through its environmental responsibility and respect for nature. By donating 10,000 saplings to Ege Orman Vakfı and establishing a memorial forest, Kimpur continues to fulfill its responsibilities toward the environment and nature. Kimpur CEO Cavidan Karaca: "In line with the action plans prepared by the EU Green Deal and the Ministry of Trade, we continue our work within the scope of our steps to minimize emissions causing the climate crisis and reduce our carbon footprint. Within the framework of social responsibility awareness that is among our company's core values, we created a memorial forest in İzmit by donating 10,000 saplings to Ege Orman Vakfı. We carried out the sapling planting event together with our employees. We aim to contribute to sustainability by continuously improving our performance in this regard."   Within the scope of its sustainability goals, Kimpur is focusing on recycling at its new production facility in Düzce, and with this investment, it aims to meet approximately 55% of total electricity consumption in addition to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 679 tons annually. The company, which has installed a solar power plant on its factory building in Gebze, will obtain approximately 20% of the energy required for production from clean energy sources.
