Johnson&Johnson Vision Achieves Carbon Neutrality

Johnson&Johnson Vision's Carbon Neutral Efforts Johnson and Johnson Vision continues its work to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Johnson&Johnson Vision's manufacturing facilities' energy efficiency and renewable energy projects deliver more than 48,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide savings annually. This amount is equivalent to the carbon dioxide emissions produced by more than 10,000 vehicles. As of 2022, all Johnson and Johnson Vision contact lenses began to be manufactured using 100% renewable electricity. This innovation will enable Johnson and Johnson Vision to meet its global climate target of sourcing all its electricity needs from renewable energy three years ahead of schedule. In addition, Johnson and Johnson Vision eliminated plastic bag use in customer order deliveries in Europe, achieving annual savings of 10 tonnes of plastic and recycling of more than 8.5 million contact lenses, packaging and film annually. Furthermore, Johnson and Johnson Vision is preparing to transition from "Instructions for Use" to "Electronic Instructions for Use". Since 1970, Johnson and Johnson Vision has been manufacturing contact lenses, and has been operating in Turkey with a specialist team since 1997.
