Agreement to Contribute 30% to Gediz Ambalaj's Revenue
On 7 January, Gediz Ambalaj announced that it has entered into a supply agreement with Şişecam. The agreement is expected to contribute 30% to Gediz Ambalaj's revenue. A public statement was made regarding the matter.
Gediz Ambalaj issued a statement regarding the Şişecam agreement, which will increase its revenue by one-third. The statement said: "The supply agreement we have been negotiating together with Şişecam has been concluded positively for our company and our investors and has been signed. This agreement signed with them is expected to provide an additional 30% contribution to our company's revenue for 2022."
Upward Momentum Observed Since 2020
Gediz Ambalaj was established in 1982 in the Gediz district of Kütahya by 11 partners. The company is Turkey's first and only polypropylene double-wall corrugated sheet factory.
In the nine-month period of 2021, Gediz Ambalaj announced annual revenue of TRY 120 billion. The company's net sales represent the highest figure in Turkish lira since 2010, equivalent to USD 15 million. Looking at Gediz Ambalaj's sales growth, an upward momentum has been observed from the six-month period of 2020 onwards on an annual basis.
