Enerjisa Üretim Supports Sustainable Agriculture with "Repair Energy" Program

Enerjisa Üretim has launched the "Restoration Energy" program, developed to connect energy transformation with sustainable agriculture practices. Centered on regenerative farming practices, the program aims to protect natural resources, increase producers' climate change adaptation capacity, and support rural development.

Enerjisa Üretim, which plays an important role in Turkey's renewable energy transition, has launched a new social impact program called "Restoration Energy" that extends its sustainability approach beyond energy generation. As of March 2026, the program is implementing activities aimed at increasing soil productivity and strengthening local producers in regions where renewable energy investments are located.

The first implementation area of the program was fig-producing villages within the impact zone of the Dampınar Wind Power Plant in Aydın. To make fig production, one of Turkey's important agricultural assets, more resilient to climate change impacts, producers are being provided with training, technical consultation, one-on-one mentoring, and implementation support.

Energy Transition and Agricultural Resilience Together
Restoration Energy, designed as a four-year transformation program, is being implemented in rural settlements surrounding Enerjisa Üretim's renewable energy resource areas. In the program's first year, it is aimed to reach more than 300 producers in approximately 30 villages within the impact zones of wind power plants in Aydın, Çanakkale, İzmir, and Balıkesir.

In later stages of the program, Muğla and Edirne are planned to be included in the scope, while it is aimed to develop producers' knowledge and skills in regenerative farming, particularly among women and youth.

Targeting Sustainability in Fig Production
Within the scope of the pilot implementation in Aydın, in addition to training and capacity development activities for fig producers, solar energy-supported agricultural infrastructure applications, sustainable production techniques, efforts to improve product quality, and marketing processes are being conducted.

Through these activities, the aim is to increase quality and sustainability in fig production, improve producers' market access opportunities, and strengthen their long-term economic resilience.

The program is being conducted through a collaboration model involving the Fig Research Institute Directorate, Young Business Cooperative, local governments, public institutions, academia, cooperatives, and producers. Within this scope, it is aimed to develop permanent and scalable solutions tailored to regional needs.
