EKSUN Gıda's Sustainable Energy Move

Eksun Gıda has received an Investment Incentive Certificate from the Ministry of Industry and Technology for the EKSUN-3 Wind Power Plant (RES) it is preparing to construct in line with its sustainability targets. According to the announcement made by the company to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the total fixed investment amount related to the Investment Incentive Certificate for the project with a capacity of 7,000 kW will be TRY 234,561,950.

Eksun Gıda, one of Turkey's leading flour producers, has accelerated its green energy investments. Operating under the Unlicensed Electricity Generation Regulation in the Electricity Market, the company notified KAP of the Investment Incentive Certificate it received for EKSUN-3 RES. The approval for the 7,000 kW capacity power plant was granted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology's Incentive Implementation and Foreign Capital General Directorate.

In his comments on the matter, Eksun Gıda Group Chairman and Eksun Gıda CEO Hasan Abdullah Özkan stated: "Since the public offering process, we have continued our investments in line with our policies for food sustainability and uninterrupted production. We consider renewable energy important in terms of contributing to carbon neutrality targets in combating the climate crisis. At the same time, we believe it sets an example in transitioning to sustainable production models. With the incentive certificate we received for our EKSUN-3 RES project, we have taken another step closer to our goal of powering our production processes with low-carbon energy. We are continuing our efforts to implement our other renewable energy projects, for which we have completed the approval procedures, as soon as possible."
