After receiving training from the social responsibility project "Development, With You" carried out by bp Turkey, pharmacy students participated in a social project competition with their "Medicine for Nature" project on waste medicines. The students' project was among 9 projects supported by the company. Betül Arslan, fourth-year pharmacy student and Chair of ETUPSA, said they realized during the project preparation phase that waste medicines are a major environmental problem. Arslan stated that they aim to explain to people how harmful waste medicines are to nature and that proper disposal would be beneficial. Burak İşçimen, Head of Health Culture and Sports Department at Trakya University, said that as a university they fully support the pharmacy students' environment-conscious project and expect students to pursue new initiatives with a sense of responsibility.EDIRNE (AA)
