Clariant and TURMEPA Partner to Protect the Seas

Clariant participated as a sponsor and participant in the VIII. Underwater Waste Exhibition and Educational Workshop organized by DenizTemiz Derneği / TURMEPA. During the workshop activities, which included the children of Clariant employees, children were made aware of the importance of water and seas, the world's water resources and water pollution. The workshop will run from June through October and will continue to raise awareness among children regarding the protection of the marine environment. Through the project, the importance of protecting water resources and seas is emphasized, with the aim of raising awareness among children with various suggestions to reduce water pollution. Approximately 1,500 children who visit the exhibition held annually from May to October learn information about why we need to protect seas while becoming familiar with marine life. Within the scope of the workshop, a team consisting of TURMEPA staff and volunteers provides ninety-minute training sessions to children. Children also learn about the water cycle and water footprint while participating in interactive workshop activities and enjoying enjoyable moments.
