Two inevitable problems are encountered in water-type paint booth cabins. 1. Due to the high speed in water circulation, paint particles disperse in the water and can create blockages in the pumps, nozzles and pipes in the cabin. 2. The paint booth circulation water is frequently discharged as wastewater (every 1 to 3 months) to costly treatment facilities for treatment due to the concentration of foreign and harmful substances (solvents, pigments, metal oxides, etc.) it contains. Chemicals formulated through joint work between Hydro Italia and the University of Bologna, subsequently developed in Hydro Italia R&D laboratories, are produced in modern production facilities. Aimed at coagulating and flocculating excess paint falling as overspray into the paint tank and bringing it to the water surface, these chemicals are used as consumables in flotation (hydrofloty) equipment that enables easy separation of the paint from water. In addition to coagulants and floating chemicals, we also meet paint booths' chemical needs in foam suppressants, biocides, precipitants, paint and dust collecting chemicals and water softeners. We have different formulations of all our products in different compositions. Chemical selection is determined by our experienced specialists according to the industry, process and paint type. Thermal oxidation, as a result of the following reaction, converts pollutant substances into secondary products with low environmental impact: VOC + O2 + activation energy → CO2 + H2O + heat. The reaction requires specific temperatures, turbulence and retention time in the combustion chamber. The energy required for the reaction can be recovered as heat through heat recovery systems (recuperative thermal oxidation). This system is frequently used in the chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, printing, surface coatings, rubber and plastics industries.
