Bobst India Delivers Its 1,000th Folder-Gluer Machine
BOBST announced the sale of its 1,000th folding-gluing machine from its production facility in India. Mumbai-based, established folding-carton specialist Ajanta Print Arts has invested in a series of BOBST converting equipment in recent years for both die-cutting and folding-gluing; these included a NOVACUT 106 ER die-cutter in 2020 and now the VISIONFOLD 110 A2.
Ajanta Print Arts took delivery of the VISIONFOLD 110 A2, described as a versatile product for folding-gluing. The VISIONFOLD 50 | 80 | 110, adaptable to converter requirements, brings flexibility and versatility to production lines. The multi-purpose machine can handle an impressive range of box styles regardless of size, substrate and operating speed. Furthermore, thanks to short production setup times and ease of configuration, it maximizes operating time while delivering the same flawless quality every time through a highly stable and precise folding process.
Ajanta Print Arts is a third-generation family business producing litho-laminate, folding cartons, plastic cartons, blister cards and shelf-ready packaging for food, personal care, pharmaceutical and FMCG markets. Vivek Khanna, Partner at Ajanta Print Arts, stated: "We are entirely committed to delivering high quality and service to our customers. VISIONFOLD is ideal for the multiple packaging formats we run but does not compromise on quality and speed. We trust BOBST to provide machines that meet our needs while enabling us to support our customers with excellence at every level."
BOBST India operates from a 20,000-square-metre world-class production facility in Pune and employs approximately 400 people. Venugopal Menon, Regional Sales Director for Folding Carton and Corrugated Board at BOBST India, stated: "The VISIONFOLD was the ideal solution for our highly valued customer Ajanta Print Arts. It has all the required qualities for all their needs in terms of performance, versatility, quality and efficiency. We are pleased to have been able to supply them with a machine that serves them at all touchpoints. Additionally, the 1,000th unit being purchased by an Indian company is significant for our team, as it demonstrates that the folding-gluing machines we produce can be installed anywhere in the world." Pierre Binggeli, Director of the BOBST Folding-Gluing Machine Product Group, added: "We have produced 1,000 folding-gluing machines; a major achievement for BOBST and we are proud of the BOBST India team. We manufacture folding-gluing machines at four different production facilities in Switzerland, Brazil, China and India. The focus at BOBST is always to ensure that customers have machines optimized to increase productivity, reliability, quality and efficiency, enabling their operations to be agile and responsive to their customers' constantly changing needs. Using our experience and knowledge, we work closely with our customers to ensure that the configuration of any folding-gluing machine we install meets their rigorous requirements and specifications."Advertisement
