Abdi İbrahim Publishes 5th Sustainability Report

Abdi İbrahim shared a report titled "Journey of Improvement from Past to Future." This report bears the distinction of being Turkey's first corporate sustainability report to go through the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) SDG Mapping Service. With its 5th Sustainability Report titled "Journey of Improvement from Past to Future," Abdi İbrahim has transparently presented to the public its corporate, environmental, social and governance work and performance for 2019-2020.

Production complex operates on 100% renewable energy

Abdi İbrahim's 5th Sustainability Report covering 2019-2020 also includes the 11th Progress Communication of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC); the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Progress Communication and progress under the UNGC CEO Water Mandate. The report, which includes qualitative and quantitative data covering Abdi İbrahim's headquarters, production facilities in Turkey and field business units, also contains detailed information on the systematic and comprehensive projects and targets the company has implemented with its internal and external stakeholders. As a result of Abdi İbrahim's sustainability efforts, both the company headquarters and production complex have transitioned to 100% renewable energy use and reduced "Scope 2" emissions from electricity consumption to zero. Across all operations, the company achieved a major success by reducing its carbon footprint by 53% in one year.

Target: Becoming a Carbon Neutral Company by 2030

Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül, Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Abdi İbrahim, stated in his remarks that the company aims to become a carbon neutral company by 2030. Bülbül also emphasized that their target is to become a carbon neutral company by 2030.
