Valmet Introduces Cellulose Plant Technology

Pulp mill technology from Valmet Valmet will deliver key mill technology to Shandong Huatai Paper's new facility in China. Valmet will supply key pulp mill technology to Shandong Huatai Paper's new pulp mill in Shandong Province, China. Valmet's delivery includes a cooking and fiber line, recovery boiler, lime kiln and lime mud filter. The new pulp mill will have an annual production capacity of 700,000 tonnes and is scheduled to start operations at the end of 2024. The order is included in Valmet's second quarter 2023 orders. The value of the order will not be disclosed. Changgeng Sun, Deputy General Manager of Shandong Huatai Paper, said: "As technology drives industrial revolution, low carbon creates green benefits. Shandong Province has set very high requirements in terms of emission standards. Valmet is one of the few suppliers capable of providing equipment that delivers emissions below stringent standards.
