Our customer, which has been operating in Turkey since 1971, contributes to the improvement of Turkey's environmental and economic standards through the high-technology solutions it provides.
Following the trust it gained from leading organizations in the sector through its activities aimed at becoming the market leader in Turkey, it increased its investments with the Polyurethane Systems facility in 1986 and the construction insulation materials production facility in 1996.
By acquiring Rohm & Haas in 2009 and establishing a subsidiary in cooperation with Akkök Group in 2012, it strengthened its position as a local manufacturer and reinforced its standing in coatings materials, construction, furniture, renewable energy, automotive and other sectors.
Through its experience in high technology and employee commitment, it operates with the awareness of providing value to society through its STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities.
Problem
In all industrial processes, dust, smoke, oil vapor or toxic gases are released. These particles, which are harmful to health, are generally elements that damage the working environment. Before contaminants spread into the work area, they must be captured by dust collection, smoke extraction or oil vapor extraction systems and conveyed to mobile or stationary filter units without creating health risks. Otherwise, the process creates serious health risks for all working personnel and other living beings. The level of exposure to harmful substances released into the environment is measured and reported by occupational safety and health specialists and inspection companies. Specialists collect samples from the air your employees breathe. The benefit of this process is determining the average or high concentrations of contaminants to which your employees are exposed while performing their duties. If pollution exposure levels exceed the required values, this indicates that you do not have an effective dust collection system. In this case, you should inspect the contaminant sources in your factory and production processes and identify the source causing the exposure limit to be exceeded. Our customer, operating in two shifts in the production area, was seeking a solution to remove vapors spreading to the environment. In order to eliminate increasingly growing contaminant substances affecting the work area, due to their satisfaction with our previous work and brand trust, they wanted to replace the old Nederman arms with new ones. The most important reason for the widespread use and preference of extraction arms in the industry is the ability to get as close as possible to the source of contamination. Being close to the contamination source means reducing the flow rate needed to remove dust, smoke and oil vapor generated as a result of the production process from the environment. This naturally means a more compact filter unit and a lower-energy-consuming extraction fan. In other words, a system with much lower initial investment and operating costs is possible with articulated arms. Nederman extraction arms, providing a solution for direct extraction of dust, exhaust and smoke at the source, protect employees, the environment and production from dangerous smoke and dust in the air. The arms are high-performance, easy to move and use.Solution
Extraction between the contamination source and the operator is the most important factor. Otherwise, the installed system does not protect the working operator and additional protective measures must be taken by the operator. In such systems, the purpose of the dust collection and smoke extraction system is to prevent pollution from spreading to other areas of the working environment and to protect other employees. The Nederman extraction arm can be used for multi-user stations by connecting it with a fan to a single workstation or central filter unit. The extraction arm is designed for continuous use and is suitable for high levels of smoke and dust such as welding smoke, gases, vapors or medium/heavy dust. At the customer's site, dust was captured by original extraction arms and removed from the environment. Nederman design provides optimum smoke and dust capture capacity and maneuverability. With its 360-degree rotation capability, the extraction arm becomes flexible and positioning is very simple in every direction. The original extraction arm can be mounted in combination with different brackets, extension arms, stationary or portable filter equipment. Benefits of Nederman extraction arm: • Used comfortably without taking up space in workshops with space constraints. • The flexible arm structure allows easy access to the desired area. • User-friendly due to ease of movement with one hand. • Maintains arm position thanks to its self-supporting design. • Articulated arms connect to fans, ventilation ducts or central systems with various connection options. • Durable due to anti-static flame-retardant PU hose resistant to -40°C ~ +90°C. • Flexible intake hose can be flexibly directed in all directions and is easily positioned. The Customer Factory Manager expressed his confidence in Nederman, stating "We turned to the brand we have trusted for 20 years and it did not disappoint us again."
