Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has prepared a new report highlighting the role of digital innovation in advancing sustainability and efficiency.
The report, prepared in collaboration with CNBC Catalyst and titled 'Unlocking a Sustainable Future: Why Digital Solutions are the Key to Sustainable Business Transformation,' explains how companies and organizations are using digital technology to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, transition to renewable energy, and build more transparent supply chains.
All Projects Have Significance for Sustainability
The report includes numerous examples. Among these are IBM's creation of a more transparent and lower-carbon supply chain using artificial intelligence and blockchain-based solutions, Swire Properties' reduction of GHG emissions by 19% across its portfolio through smart lighting, rainwater collection, and energy generation from cooking oil projects, and other remarkable achievements. Also highlighted are engineering firm Jacobs' transportation system modeling in London that analyzes billions of data points to achieve zero-carbon emissions in 80% of journeys, and Tata Power's roof-mounted solar tracking and management systems that have helped customers across more than 90 Indian cities generate 258 barrels of oil equivalent through renewable energy.Jean-Pascal Tricoire Made Remarks
