SASA to leverage artificial intelligence in production processes
Polyester manufacturer SASA has submitted a membership application to ZEKI (Zentrum für erlebbare Künstliche Intelligenz und Digitalisierung), an Experiential Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization Research Center based in Berlin, to leverage artificial intelligence across all systems and processes.
SASA, which is among the world's leading artificial intelligence research centers applying for membership at ZEKI, aims to benefit from artificial intelligence in both production and management processes.
The ZEKI board, led by founder scientist Prof. Dr. Şahin Albayrak, visited SASA's facilities in Adana. During the visit, İbrahim Eroğlu and Şahin Albayrak signed a protocol to formalize SASA's membership application to the center.
ZEKI board informed about SASA's production and management processes
In January, the SASA board, led by Chairman İbrahim Erdemoğlu, visited ZEKI in Berlin and took the first step in the membership process. Led by founder scientist Prof. Dr. Şahin Albayrak, the ZEKI board visited SASA's Adana facility and obtained information about production and management processes. During the Adana visit, Albayrak was accompanied by a team of scientists working in different fields at the center. The delegation toured all facilities, including SASA's new PTA facility investment, and gathered information on production processes.
Following the visit, İbrahim Erdemoğlu and Prof. Dr. Şahin Albayrak signed a protocol to submit SASA's membership application to ZEKI.
ZEKI, whose members include globally recognized German companies and public institutions, focuses on concrete practical applications of artificial intelligence in everyday life. Through its collaboration with ZEKI, SASA aims to implement artificial intelligence applications over the coming years in many areas, ranging from increasing efficiency in production processes to improving employee conditions. SASA will also work on digital security for its largely automation-based production processes.
SASA to continue investing in innovation and continuous improvement
SASA Chairman of the Board İbrahim Erdemoğlu, who personally hosted the ZEKI delegation during the visit, made remarks on the subject. Erdemoğlu stated: "Through our collaboration with ZEKI, we plan to fully digitalize our systems and processes and benefit from artificial intelligence in all possible areas. In this way, while raising our production efficiency to the highest possible level, we will be able to allocate more resources to innovation. SASA will continue to invest in innovation and continuous improvement in the future as it has done so far."
