Process Safety Discussed at the Process Safety Symposium

The Process Safety Symposium, organized to raise awareness among manufacturers in the country, showcased products manufactured with the latest technology to prevent industrial accidents. Within the scope of the Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition organized by Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, 70 companies exhibited their products. Hasan Şerefhan, Chairman of the Process Safety Symposium and Exhibition Organizing Board, emphasized the importance of choosing quality and certified products to ensure process safety, and stated that it is a significant development for domestic manufacturers to conduct R&D work in this field and develop their technological products.

100 Percent Domestic Process Safety

In process safety, even the smallest component in an industrial facility has an important function. When selecting valves, the choice of certified products is of particular importance, especially in combating products coming from China that pose a security threat. SMS Tork, which produces non-flammable valves and electric actuators with 100 percent domestic production and exports to 87 countries, presented its domestic and cost-effective process safety solutions to Turkish companies at the Process Safety Symposium.

Global Occupational Safety Approach in Turkey

Among the greatest hazards are electrical arc explosions occurring in factories. Explosions reaching approximately 12,000 degrees, despite being brief, lead to the most fatal accidents. Product That Detects Lightning Hazard 8 Minutes in Advance

Solutions protecting companies against lightning, one of the important topics in process safety, were also presented at the Symposium. With the products of 4 S Elektrik Elektronik that completely prevent lightning formation within a distance of 200 meters of a facility's location, facilities can be placed under protection. Thanks to products with lightning early warning systems, lightning strike can be predicted 8 to 20 minutes in advance, allowing employees and hazardous materials to be moved to a safe area.
