Vocational School Students' Production Begins to Be Exported

Vocational High School Students' Products Begin Exports Electronic experiment sets developed by vocational high school teachers and students in Derince, Kocaeli, have begun being exported to schools across the country and beyond. Çınarlı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which gained recognition during the pandemic for producing cleaning materials, has achieved successful results in manufacturing "Process Automation and Electro-pneumatic Training Sets" used in vocational education. Teachers and students producing sets composed of multiple units such as part stopping stations, step motor-controlled robotic arms, part control and evaluation stations, have sent approximately 40 sets valued at TRY 286,491 to schools across the country to date, focusing on developing worker skills and offering innovative solutions. Sets that enable numerous technical applications such as basic and advanced level operator panel applications, indirect addressing, sequential controls, single and multi-step sequence control, error detection and debugging, troubleshooting and correction, communication settings and applications, were exported following the aluminum factory in Bulgaria's approval of the work.

They aim to export to all European countries

School Principal Selman Utkan said they were pleased that the sets they produced were being used in a major aluminum factory in Bulgaria. Utkan explained that they introduced the experiment sets during visits to factories to provide their students with internship opportunities abroad, and stated that they would continue exporting in this context. Noting that they have reached an agreement with an electrical materials company from Romania, Utkan continued: "They will display our products in the showroom they will open there. Vocational high schools in Romania will see our products. In this way, we aim to sell our experiment sets to vocational high schools in Romania." Stating that they want to export their products to all European countries, particularly Germany and Spain, Utkan said that last year they sent 60 students abroad and currently 25 students are continuing their internships. Pointing out that students rotate every three months as part of their internship, Utkan said: "Four of our students in Romania were highly appreciated at the factories where they worked. After the internship, they began working at those factories. At the aluminum factory where we sold the experiment sets, two of our students are currently interning. They are thinking of hiring them as well."  

"We can produce 58 different sets"

Electrical electronics technology teacher Bülent Karayazı shared information that they produce 58 different training sets in the workshop. Karayazı emphasized that they aim for all schools in the country to have access to these training sets, and noted that they have a production capacity of 100 sets per month. Karayazı pointed out that the exported training sets would not only develop workers' skills but would also help engineers find innovative solutions to the difficulties they face. Stating that the sets provide an opportunity to conduct practical experiments, Karayazı said that students thereby acquire practical problem-solving skills.   Source
