Masdaf Invests in the Future
Masdaf, the leading pump sector brand, continues to invest in the future and people through Mas Academy.
Masdaf recently met with prospective engineers at the BEMDays'22 event organized by Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Makine Teknolojileri Kulübü (MAKTEK) on 17–18 March under the motto "Draw Inspiration from the Future."
Masdaf, which has nearly half a century of experience in the pump sector, has made it its mission to share this expertise through events, training programs and seminars organized within the scope of Mas Academy and continue to support projects that will contribute to university-industry collaboration with its stakeholders.
Most recently, Masdaf met with prospective engineers at the BEMDays'22 event organized by Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Makine Teknolojileri Kulübü (MAKTEK) on 17–18 March at the Historic Bath in YTÜ Davutpaşa Campus under the motto "Draw Inspiration from the Future."
Speaking at the "Masdaf Special Session" held on 18 March at the BEMDays'22 event, which Masdaf supported as a platinum sponsor, Masdaf R&D Director Levent Baba shared information about the importance of water management pump technologies in combating the energy and water crisis threatening our lives:
"With pump technologies we have developed for residences, industries, hospitals, schools and agricultural irrigation, we aim to prevent the global water crisis. It is our duty to develop smart pump technologies for sustainable living and to raise awareness among you, the engineers of the future, on this matter. Because you will be the ones developing these systems or choosing them for your projects in the future.
By conducting proper R&D or making the right system choices, we can prevent energy and water waste occurring in industry, distribution networks, buildings, facilities and agriculture.
With the smart pump technologies we have developed, we also aim to use energy efficiently. Because 22 percent of the energy consumed by electric motors worldwide is used by pumps.
Considering that fossil fuels are used at high rates in energy production, every 1 kW of energy saved by choosing efficient pump products will have a significant benefit to the environment. In this context, standardization through energy labeling on products should prevent inefficient products from being used in the market," he said.
In his presentation, Levent Baba also shared information about the pump sector and employment opportunities.
Speaking during the BEMDays'22 event, Masdaf Brand and Marketing Communications Manager Duygu Ertekin said:
"As Masdaf, we see it as part of our mission to prepare tomorrow's engineers for the future by introducing Masdaf and the pump sector to them today, and to bring projects implemented within the scope of university-industry collaboration to our sector. The BEMDays'22 event, which we support as a platinum sponsor, is one of these initiatives. Going forward, we will continue to support projects that contribute to university-industry collaboration within the scope of Mas Academy."
