Rockwell Automation, which employs more than 23,000 people across more than 80 countries worldwide, has signed a distributorship agreement with Market Otomasyon in Turkey to service all product groups. The press conference was attended by Rockwell Automation Country Director Ediz Eren and Market Otomasyon General Manager Gökhan Bozdağ. Rockwell Automation Country Director Ediz Eren, noting that the European Union countries account for the most significant investments in Industry 4.0 globally, stated: "Our customers are expressing serious demand regarding Industry 4.0. As Rockwell Automation, we have transitioned to a distributor model in Turkey as well as globally in order to provide our customers with higher-quality technical and commercial service support.
Market Otomasyon, which has been our business partner since 2009, will now be the distributor of our solutions and products in Turkey." he said.
Stating that in line with this agreement they are targeting growth particularly in Anatolia outside the Marmara Region together with Market Otomasyon, Ediz Eren continued: "As part of our cooperation with Market Otomasyon, we are beginning to implement a regional office model. Sales offices will be opened in Bursa, Istanbul and Izmir within this year. By the end of 2022, we will be present through sales offices opened by Market Otomasyon in Ankara, Konya and Gaziantep.
Our goal is to achieve rapid growth particularly in the Aegean, Mediterranean and Central Anatolia Regions.
Market Otomasyon General Manager Gökhan Bozdağ, stating that they have decided to invest based on their confidence in Turkey's economy and industrial potential, said: "In the industrial automation sector, we bring the latest technologies to our customers. With our confidence in Turkey's industrial strength and anticipating that automation needs will continue to increase, we decided to realize such an investment. We are very pleased to have signed a distributorship agreement with Rockwell Automation in this context. With our confidence in the country's economy, we will accelerate our investments and increase our workforce. With this agreement, we are aiming to double our current workforce of 30 employees with the support of Rockwell Automation." he said.   Stating that they want to share Rockwell Automation's know-how in the field of automation with Turkey, Bozdağ said: "As part of this agreement, we are launching many important initiatives together with Rockwell Automation. One of the most important issues for us in contributing to our country's economy is addressing the shortage of qualified personnel in the sector. In this context, starting from September, we will begin organizing seminars and technical training for our customers with Rockwell Automation under the title "Digital Transformation." Additionally, we have designated pilot schools to transfer all our accumulated knowledge. We have provided experimental sets to İnönü Technical and Industrial Vocational High School, Ahi Evran Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School and Rosvita-Timur İmrağ Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School. We will first provide automation training to our teachers." he said. Rockwell Automation has continued to support student education at the Industrial Automation and Motion Control Laboratory at Istanbul Technical University, which it established in 2013.
