FANUC Increases Robot Count and Production Volume
FANUC is increasing the number of robots and production volume in industry day by day. The company has continued its collaboration with Silverline, one of the world's leading embedded manufacturers since 2015, raising the number of robots in production to 17 and increasing its production capacity to 20 percent. FANUC's collaborative robots, which are present in all production processes at Silverline, contribute 25 percent to the company's production efficiency while also providing advantages in raw material and time savings.
Japan-based CNC, robot and machinery manufacturer FANUC is increasing its contribution to the production of Silverline, which ranks among Europe's top 5 and the world's top 10 embedded manufacturers with an annual production volume of 2.4 million units. Silverline, which has increased the number of robots working in many processes from chemical adhesive application to pressing, sheet bending to palletizing to 17, performs 20 percent of its production with FANUC robots. FANUC robots provide efficiency increases of up to 25 percent in production while also creating opportunities for savings in raw material usage. In 2021, the company integrated CRX collaborative robots into its production process, thereby providing flexibility and efficiency in the factory.
"We provide the key to the door leading from local to national, and from national to global manufacturing"
Commenting on the FANUC and Silverline collaboration, FANUC General Manager Teoman Alper Yiğit stated: "With the factory automation systems and robot technologies we have developed, we are increasing the number of robots in production day by day. With our robots, we enable manufacturers to carry out the automation transformations they desire in their factories. Our robots increase efficiency in production processes regardless of the sector or capacity. They also create opportunities for savings in raw material usage. With all these advantages coming together, our robots provide manufacturers with the key to the door leading from local to national, and from national to global manufacturing. The best example of this is Silverline. The collaboration that started with 2 robots in 2015 has reached 17 robots today. I am confident that this number will increase significantly in the future. Together with the increase in our robot numbers, we will also accelerate Silverline's speed on its global brand journey" he said. Highlighting the production efficiency achieved with FANUC robots, GM Teknik Cam Sanayi A.Ş. General Manager Murat Koç said: "Our FANUC collaboration, which started in 2015 with a special adhesive automation project, continues today with 17 robots: chemical adhesive application, sheet bending, welding, palletizing, product transfer and press feeding. With these robots, we perform 20 percent of our production capacity. We are very satisfied to work with FANUC, which contributes to our continuous improvement strategy in production processes and our technological renewal. Through our collaboration, we integrate new technologies into our production. Current technologies developed by FANUC bring flexibility and efficiency to our production. The CRX collaborative robot that we put into operation in 2021 is among the most current examples of this. With all these advantages, I believe that our collaboration with FANUC in the use of collaborative robots in our factory's industrial transformation, production processes, development of technology and production capacity, training of qualified workforce, and increasing flexibility will continue to strengthen. As a reliable partner, we will continue to work with FANUC, which provides high quality for our products, solution-oriented professional application, global service and spare parts support" he said.Advertisement
