Baykon Introduces New Horizons in Weight Measurement for Chemical Process Applications: BX30 Plus/BX30D Plus Weighing Indicators

Baykon offers the BX30 Plus/BX30D Plus panel-type advanced weighing indicators to industry for process control, weight control, product classification, and filling applications. The BX30 Plus/BX30D Plus Indicators are designed with the latest technological developments in mind to meet all requirements of industrial weighing applications, with high measurement and communication speed, various interface options, and can be used with analog or digital load cells while connecting to the internet at no additional cost. Vibrations from mechanical systems or processes and weight reading fluctuations caused by high-speed mixers are eliminated using special dynamic, adaptive and statistical filters to ensure stable weight display.

Easy Operation with Alphanumeric Information on Large, Colour Display

The indicators are equipped with a bright, wide-angle and multicolour LCD screen featuring a 22mm 6-digit weight display and a 16-digit alphanumeric information display measuring 8mm. Six different operating languages, graphical representation of weighing, buttons whose functions are easily understood from their symbols, plus an alphanumeric keypad, and features such as screen colour change to alert or inform the operator greatly simplify the setup and use of the indicator.

Common Application Solutions Offered as Standard

BX30 Plus and BX30D Plus, along with applications such as checkweighing, classification, filling and peak hold, feature SmartAPP capability that informs the operator of the stages of the weighing process in these applications by changing screen colour, displaying graphics and using sound. In addition to these features, BX30 Plus and BX30D Plus Indicators have 4 memory units, each capable of storing 500 records, where 2 types of ID information, tare value and cut-off value (6 different cut-off values per record) can be entered.

High input sensitivity, high measurement speed and measurement range that automatically adjusts up to -125 mV/+125 mV in force measurement applications give the BX30 Plus undisputed superiority in force measurement. Peak hold application capturing up to 10 peak values provides the BX30 Plus with significant advantage in peak hold testing. The BX30 Plus/BX30D Plus Indicators are approved to EN45501 and OIML R76 standards up to 10,000 divisions in single-stage, multi-stage and multi-section commercial weighing applications. In industrial applications, they can be used up to 300,000 divisions. Unit of weight can be set as g, kg, lb, klb, N, kN or none.

The BX30 Plus Indicators feature standard Ethernet, USB, RS-232C, RS-485 and RS-422 interfaces that provide users with a wide range of communication options at no additional cost. In addition to these, an SD card slot for backing up information is also available as standard. BX30 Plus Indicators have 4 digital inputs and 5 digital outputs. In simple weighing operations, digital inputs can be used for functions such as zeroing, tare, delete, output, holding the display value, while digital outputs can be defined as free cut-off values according to a specific range or threshold value. When one of the SmartAPP applications is selected, digital inputs and outputs are automatically adjusted according to the values entered for the selected SmartAPP application. Indicators that can be connected to commonly used Fieldbus systems in industry such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP, EtherCat, Canopen, CC-Link, CC-Link IE and Powerlink can also have their digital inputs and outputs controlled by a PLC as Remote I/O. Fast analog output has long-term stability and 15-bit high resolution. The indicators can print labels in 5 different formats including single-line, multi-line and EPL format containing barcodes.

Powerful Fault Diagnosis Features Realize the Dream of Weighing and Process Engineers

The indicators offer comprehensive troubleshooting features that can rapidly and effectively test the keypad, serial outputs, digital inputs and outputs, display, analog and digital load cells and printer. Programming interventions, overload events and similar occurrences are recorded. An optional Alibi memory is also available that records all your weighings and legally documents your weighing data.

Vibration-Resistant Mechanical Structure and High EMC Immunity

BX30 Plus and BX30D Plus type indicators, with IP67 front panel protection, stainless steel front panel, aluminium body and stainless steel rear panel, are suitable for use in wet, hygienic and demanding industrial conditions. The threaded interface terminals on the rear panel of the indicators provide secure operation without cable loosening even in vibration and mobile applications.
