This is made possible through an additional Bluetooth interface that bridges distances of up to 25 m. Thus, even if the process is integrated only through a 4-20 mA interface, maintenance of measurement points in hard-to-reach or hazardous areas is simplified. Additionally, the wizards can also be used with DTM and EDD-based tools. Personnel do not need to open the enclosure or disconnect cables. Real-time data from the pressure transmitter is always accessible. The Bluetooth connection features a special protocol that meets increasing security requirements in industrial applications. The Fraunhofer Institute AISEC tested the interface in terms of protection level and rated the protocol and algorithm as "high". With this information, it is possible to plan system revisions and maintenance work of the measuring devices in advance and reduce downtime. This significantly simplifies maintenance processes. Heartbeat Technology also provides users with the scope they need to optimize their production through data-driven information related to the process. It provides transparency regarding the condition of measurement devices and process-related information. However, Heartbeat Technology can do more. It detects irregularities in the process, for example, deviations indicating cable faults in circuit resistance. For example, capillary tubes clogged as a result of crystallization are detected by differential pressure transmitters. This data provides the foundation for predictive maintenance.
