Solvay Launches Two New Products
Solvay, a leading global supplier of specialty materials, has announced the launch of two new Ryton® polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) grades as part of the company's expanding Supreme polymer portfolio, targeting significant performance gains in electrification. Ryton® Supreme HV and HF have been specifically developed to make drivers' lives easier with shorter charging times and greater driving ranges.

Ryton® Supreme HV, a high-voltage PPS material, combines a 600 V comparative tracking index (CTI) for best-in-class electrical performance with electrical thermal index (RTI) >175°C UL94 V0 flammability ratings for superior heat resistance. This property represents a step change toward safer and more reliable components such as housings and chip carriers in power electronics.
Ryton® Supreme HF offers high mechanical strength and excellent flow for thin-wall components of 0.3 mm. It can provide significant contribution to miniaturization and package optimization. Target applications include coil bobbins for stators and insulators, where lower wall thicknesses reduce coil temperatures and facilitate reliable thermal management.
