The technologies developed at the Center of Excellence in Composite Technologies, located in Turkey and bringing together stages such as product development, manufacturing and application under one roof, were also presented.
Kordsa CEO İbrahim Özgür Yıldırım, stating that Kordsa has been creating value for its customers for 50 years while pioneering sustainable and benefit-focused development of the ecosystem, continued as follows:
"The path to Kordsa becoming one of the world's leading companies in advanced materials lies in viewing sustainability as a business model. The Kordsa vision, which we describe as 'Strengthening Life,' points to a journey marking Kordsa's contribution to the world, humanity and the ecosystem. We continue to strengthen this journey with sustainability-focused products that have the power to transform an entire ecosystem.
With our composite manufacturing facilities in the United States, we are a supplier to leading institutions in commercial aviation. Recently, we consolidated the management of our composite companies operating in North America under a single roof. In Europe, we increased our capabilities with our Italian company Microtex Composites, which supplies carbon fiber weaving and prepreg primarily to the super-luxury automotive sector and motorsports.
With our production spread across a wide geography, we will continue to provide our reinforcement technologies to the entire world. Our goal is to create value for all our stakeholders by providing leadership in global markets, technology and sustainability."
Yıldırım also mentioned the company's recent investment in BPREG, a sustainable advanced materials company offering environmentally friendly alternatives to synthetic composites, saying, "BPREG, which aims to be part of the green transformation of the composites industry with natural fiber-reinforced advanced composites, is an initiative that aligns perfectly with Kordsa's approach. We will ensure that BPREG's product portfolio is offered to our customers in different geographies around the world."
Hüseyin Ateş, Vice General Manager responsible for Technology, who delivered the opening speech of the fair, said, "Since 2014, as a signatory to the UN Global Compact, our journey toward net zero emissions by 2050 is a promise we make to future generations. We act with a desire to make a difference by providing a sustainable value chain and encouraging partnerships that share our vision. Our global impact is enhanced through sustainable practices incorporating circular economy principles. Here at JEC World, we experience the excitement of sharing insights, learning from others and discovering new partnerships."
